Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Bronzd mobile application ("Bronzd", "the app", "we", "our"). By downloading or using Bronzd, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. What Bronzd Is (and Isn't)

Bronzd is a sun-safety and tanning companion that provides UV information, personalized guidance, and session timers. Bronzd provides general wellness guidance only — it is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. No tan is completely safe: UV exposure carries inherent risks, including sunburn, premature skin aging, and skin cancer. You are responsible for your own sun exposure decisions. Always use appropriate sun protection and consult a qualified healthcare professional about skin concerns.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Bronzd. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the app only with the consent of a parent or guardian.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

• Bronzd is free to download. Certain features ("Bronzd Premium") require an auto-renewing subscription purchased through your Apple ID.
• Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by region. Introductory offers (such as a 7-day free trial or a discounted first month) are available to eligible new subscribers only.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

4. Accuracy of Information

UV, weather, and forecast data are provided by third-party services (including Apple Weather) and are estimates that can differ from actual conditions. Guidance such as "burn time," "safe session length," SPF recommendations, and skin-type analysis are approximations based on general dermatological models and the information you provide — they cannot account for every individual factor (medications, skin conditions, reflective environments, altitude, and more). Treat all guidance as informational, not as a guarantee of safety.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the app, including attempting to reverse-engineer it, interfere with its operation, use it in violation of applicable law, or resell access to it.

6. Intellectual Property

Bronzd, including its name, logo, design, and content, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms and Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of data. Your use of the app is at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including sunburn, skin damage, or other health outcomes — arising from or related to your use of the app. Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the app if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the app at any time; Sections 6–8 survive termination.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply.
